Pedal Prawn

During my placement at Harrison & Co over the summer. I spent most my last week working on something quite unusual, which enabled me to have full creativity and go a bit wild! The brief was to design an exhibition space for Brighton to promote themselves as a place for conference venues. The intention was to make Brighton’s space stand out from the rest and represent it’s big, buzzing personality. I explored the city taking lots of photos which got me really inspired.

After experimenting with several ideas, I proposed a few to the designers, and we decided to develop one, the Pedal Prawn. Pedal Prawn was inspired by Brightons promenade and the seafood they sell down there, and decorated it with patterns to reflect the creative culture and colours of Brighton. The idea of the bike came from Brighton being an eco friendly city, there are bike lanes all around.

At the end of the week I left them with a proposal for Pedal Prawn, some images shown below.

Following this I found out that although the proposal for Pedal Prawn didn’t get picked, they have managed to squeeze him into the exhibition stand, and for the time being has become Harrison & Co’s Mascot. Which I’m delighted about. It’s great to see some of my ideas being used. Below is the development of the prawn since I left:

Been A Bit Quiet Here..

Well I’m right in the middle of the third year, dissertation deadline rapidly coming around and soon to start Semester Two.

Heres something small I’ve been working on, among several other projects.

A few propositions about self inflicted illness excuses (hangovers!). An idea for a rebrand of Alka Seltzer.
